Learning Center Supervisor/Teacher

Job Overview

DLIGR is a small K-12 school with a unique blend of teacher-led learning and a fully developed, self-paced Christian curriculum, supplemented with tutor assistance.  We are currently in need of (for the coming 2025/26 school year) a supervisor responsible for the function and operation of a designated Learning Center during our four-day school week.  This could include the potential for in-person instruction within the applicant’s specific areas of expertise. The Learning Center Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the multi-grade learning center, maintaining the flow and environment of the school and oversees the day-to-day function of the Learning Center including monitoring student progress, answering questions, and reviewing daily work goals of the students. Applicants must be versatile, dedicated, and capable to facilitate learning within a multi-grade setting with the assistance of daily teacher aides. He/she will work under the supervision and guidance of the school board and contribute to a productive and structured learning environment according to and within the standards established by the board. Qualified candidates for this position must be members of the NRC denomination, have a love for the truth according to God’s Word and the doctrine adhered to by the NRC, and display a lifestyle in accordance with the same.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties

This list of duties can be changed based upon the needs of the students, staff and board.  However, a general outline of day-to-day responsibilities is provided below.  For additional details, please reference the DLIGR Handbook.

  • Perform classroom opening each day with Scripture reading and prayer.

  • Observe, evaluate, and communicate regarding each student’s academic progress using the methods and tools provided by the school.

  • Maintain accurate and complete records as needed.

  • Maintain good classroom order and organization in accordance with the school Handbook.

  • Regularly communicate with parents

  • Help uphold the core values and beliefs of the school.
